  1. Back in 2009, I was fortunate enough to be selected to do a 14 day rotation at MDRS as the astronomer and health safety officer. I was a 44 year old pharmacist who held astronomy as a life long hobby and fostered a long interest in the space program. It turned out to be one of the
Greatest experiences of my life. I met so many wonderful, intelligent, and motivated people younger and older than myself, all with the goal of learning more about mars exploration And experience the closest analog here on earth. It is an awesome program, encouraging young people to pursue careers in planetary sciences and space exploration and keeping the dream alive in the hearts and mind of me, the not so young. One day I will do it again as long as I am able !
