Video: Description of water leakage inside spacesuit during ISS EVA

 In this video,

NASA astronaut Chris Cassidy shows where water leaked, soaking spacewalker Luca Parmitano’s head, during his July 16th, 2013 EVA. The event frightened the astronauts and mission controllers. NASA is still investigating the exact cause.

BBC program about a UK team’s design for a human mission to Mars

A group at Imperial College London have designed an architecture for a human mission to Mars. They use spin gravity during the trips to and from the Red Planet to prevent the health issues created by weightlessness. Plus take advantage of available materials, including food, water, waste and fuel, for radiation shielding. A system would be sent to the Mars surface ahead of

The crew would then return to Martian orbit in a pre-sent craft fuelled using ice from beneath the planet’s surface.

The project is in conjunction with a BBC program that will be broadcast this weekend:

As with the long sea voyages of the past, crews and passengers on long space trips to Mars and elsewhere will need ways to stay mentally active and engaged:

ISS spacewalk canceled after water leak in spacesuit

At the start of an EVA on the International Space Station today by Italian astronaut Luca Parmitano and Amercian Christopher Cassidy, water soon began to build up inside Parmitano’s helmet from a leak and they had to cancel the EVA and return quickly to the airlock.
