** Expedition 67 Astronaut Frank Rubio Answers Media Questions Before Launch – Aug. 22, 2022 – NASA Video

NASA Astronaut Frank Rubio discusses his upcoming mission to the International Space Station and takes questions from media during a virtual news conference from Star City, Russia. Rubio, along with Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Prokopyev and Dmitri Petelin, is scheduled to launch to the space station Wednesday, Sept. 21, aboard the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. He will be a flight engineer and member of the Expedition 68 station crew.

** Robotic arm inspects Chinese space station in these amazing views – VideoFromSpace

Watch China’s robotic arm scan the exterior of the Tiangong space station in these views. The inspection was completed to “ensure it is ready to move the Wentian lab module from its current docking bay to its permanent dock,” according to China Central Television (CCTV).

** T+227: Astrobee, Free-Flying Robots on the ISS (with Jonathan Barlow) – Main Engine Cut Off

Jonathan Barlow from the NASA Ames Research Center joins me to talk about Astrobee—the free-flying robots on the International Space Station that test new technologies, sensors, and operations, and assist astronauts and mission controllers alike. Jonathan is the Astrobee Lead Engineer and has been with the program since the beginning, so we go way back to its origins and talk in-depth about what the robots are up to today on the ISS.

** T+224: Northrop Grumman’s Commercial Space Station, with Rick Mastracchio (Director Of Business Development) – Main Engine Cut Off

Rick Mastracchio, former NASA astronaut and current Director Of Business Development at Northrop Grumman Space Systems, joins me to talk about Northrop Grumman’s Commercial Space Station concept that they are working on as part of NASA’s Commercial LEO Destinations program.

** ISS Live video stream – IBM/ISS HD Earth Viewing Experiment

Currently, live views from the ISS are streaming from an external camera mounted on the ISS module called Node 2. Node 2 is located on the forward part of the ISS. The camera is looking forward at an angle so that the International Docking Adapter 2 (IDA2) is visible. If the Node 2 camera is not available due to operational considerations for a longer period of time, a continuous loop of recorded HDEV imagery will be displayed. The loop will have “Previously Recorded” on the image to distinguish it from the live stream from the Node 2 camera. After HDEV stopped sending any data on July 18, 2019, it was declared, on August 22, 2019, to have reached its end of life. Thank You to all who shared in experiencing and using the HDEV views of Earth from the ISS to make HDEV so much more than a Technology Demonstration Payload!
