Sarah Brightman prepares for space

Sierra Nevada has been developing their Dream Chaser spaceplane for several years. Mark Sirangelo of SNC has mentioned some interaction with Brightman’s Dream Chaser album and tour but I don’t know the extent of it.

2001: A Space Odyssey with live NY Philharmonic score

Would have been great to watch “2001” with a live orchestra playing the soundtrack: New York Philharmonic Plays ‘2001 – A Space Odyssey’ – NYTimes.com.

Maybe this will happen someday at Wolf Trap, which just had a similar orchestral performance for Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings.

Astronaut Cady Coleman advised Sandra Bullock on spaceflight for “Gravity” role

While astronaut Cady Coleman was residing on the International Space Station, she spoke and exchanged email with actress Sandra Bullock to help her prepare for her role in the movie Gravity, which is set to be released on October 4th. : Astronaut gave ‘Gravity’ advice to Sandra Bullock from space – collectSPACE.
