Search for the missing Mars Polar Lander

Here is a Mars science project that you can participate in at home.

The Mars Polar Lander disappeared in 1999 as it attempted to reach the surface of the Red Planet. The University of Arizona team that built and operates the HiRISE imaging system on the Mars Reconaissance Orbiter has started a project in which public volunteers can scan HiRISE images of the area where the MPL is believed to have crashed and try to spot its debris. A Flight on the European Enterprise

Project Enterprise is a European project that is developing a commercial suborbital
space tourism vehicle called the Enterprise. The collaboration includes the TALIS-Institute,
Swiss Propulsion Laboratory

to develop a low altitude rocketplance called the Black Sky by 2010 and then to
begin test flying the Enterprise in 2011, with paying passenger flights by 2013.

Check for Project Enterprise announcements on the Space Transport News blog.
