Living atop the clouds of Venus might be feasible and offer some advantages over the surface of Mars:

    Landis also used a floating city in the venusian atmosphere (made of artificial diamond manufactured from carbon extracted from the CO2 atmosphere) as a setting for his Sturgeon award winning story “The Sultan of the Clouds”
