They are aiming to have a commercial 50MW reactor\u00a0in six years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Today comes word that they have raised $1.5M from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mithril.com\/\" target=\"_d\">Mithril Capital Management<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ycombinator.com\/\" target=\"_d\">Y Combinator<\/a>\u00a0venture capital firms: \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/gigaom.com\/2014\/08\/14\/more-early-stage-valley-investors-are-funding-nuclear-energy-tech\/\" target=\"_d\">More Valley investors are funding nuclear energy tech \u2014 Tech News and Analysis<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They apparently need a few tens of millions to get to a reactor but this is a start.
