\u00a0<\/span>Maker Camp<\/a>\u00a0opened today at\u00a0<\/span>MAKE Google+<\/a><\/em>:<\/p>\n

Maker Camp<\/a> (<\/span>from <\/span>Google+<\/a> and <\/span>MAKE<\/a> Magazine<\/span>) is back for the third annual six-week virtual summer camp for quirky tinkering, building and fun STEM projects. <\/span>Everyday at 11am PT\/2pm ET until August 15, <\/span>millions of folks (especially teenagers!<\/b>) around the world will hang out live on <\/span>Maker Camp\u2019s Google+ page<\/a> for 30 DIY projects (<\/span>think building\u00a0<\/span>glowing bikes<\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>stroboscopes<\/a>, and taking field trips to NASA, Lego and Cartoon Network studios<\/span>).<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

This afternoon we\u2019ll be <\/span>kicking off with a field trip to NASA<\/span> Goddard Space Flight Center<\/span> with legendary astronaut Buzz Aldrin<\/span>. Campers will go behind the scenes to check out the James Webb Space Telescope being assembled live! Afterward, campers will learn how to build milk jug rocket launchers and soda bottle rocket LED fireworks. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
