July 2-3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ssep.ncesse.org\/\" target=\"_d\">Student Spaceflight Experiments Program (SSEP)<\/a>\u00a0is a U.S. national Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) <a href=\"http:\/\/ssep.ncesse.org\/about-ssep\/\" target=\"_blank\">education initiative<\/a> created by a partnership of\u00a0\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ncesse.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Center for Earth and Space Science Education (NCESSE)<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nanoracksllc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">NanoRacks, LLC<\/a>\u00a0that gives 300+ students the opportunity to design and propose real experiments to fly on the International Space Station. We want to immerse students in the experience of a real science conference. It is fitting. If the SSEP is dedicated to letting students step into the shoes of scientists and engineers, then a conference should be part of the experience.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>The SSEP National Conference is taking place in one of the most visited museums on the planet, and in the new\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/airandspace.si.edu\/exhibitions\/moving-beyond-earth\/\" target=\"_blank\">Moving Beyond Earth<\/a>\u00a0gallery.
