It will spin<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.leonarddavid.com\/spin-control-greenhouses-headed-for-orbit\/\" target=\"_d\">Spin Control: Greenhouses Headed for Orbit &#8211; Leonard David<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dlr.de\/dlr\/presse\/en\/desktopdefault.aspx\/tabid-10172\/213_read-10095\/year-all\/#gallery\/14438\" target=\"_d\">Eu:CROPIS \u2013 Growing tomatoes in space &#8211; DLR<\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>The experiment involves use of bacteria and algae that will convert synthetic urine into fertilizer to promote the growth of tomato plants. Variations in rotational speed around its longitudinal axis will simulate lunar and Martian gravity.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">[&#8230;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>The first of the two greenhouses will operate under lunar conditions over the first six months, while the second greenhouse will operate in a Martian environment for the following six.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>This project will run for a year, after which the satellite will reenter the Earth\u2019s atmosphere.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>===<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hobbyspace.com\/GPS\/index.html#Geocaching\" target=\"_blank\">Geocaching<\/a> has become a popular worldwide GPS game and hobby.
