Feeling Creative? Want to Promote Mars Advocacy? Participate in the 2014 Mars Society Poster Contest!<\/p>\n

The 2014 Mars Society Poster Contest is now underway!\u00a0 The winning design will serve as the primary graphic for promoting\u00a0the 17th Annual International Mars Society Convention<\/a>, to be held in League City, Texas (outside Houston), August 7-10, 2014.<\/p>\n

When designing posters, participants are asked to use the theme of the 2014 convention:\u00a0\u201cBlazing the Path to Mars.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0The poster should seek to emphasize various efforts<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

to drive and promote the human exploration and settlement of the Red Planet.<\/p>\n

The winner will receive free admission to all sessions of the Mars Society convention, including the main convention banquet.\u00a0 [Airfare and hotel accommodations are not included.]<\/p>\n

The deadline for submitting poster designs is Monday, March 31, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. EST.<\/p>\n

With regard to technical requirements for the contest, the size of the poster should be 11″ x 17″.\u00a0 There are no restrictions on color, however if your poster is chosen, in addition to a full color poster, the Mars Society will need a gray-scale copy.\u00a0 Posters can be submitted as a .pdf file, although it is preferred in the original format (i.e., Photoshop).<\/p>\n

To submit your design, please e-mail the sample to: postercontest@marssociety.org.\u00a0 Please also use this e-mail address for any inquiries regarding the contest and\/or the submission process.<\/p>\n

Use of Image: Artist gives permission to The Mars Society to use digital images(s) of art work in online and print media.<\/p>\n
