{"id":5307,"date":"2013-11-15T19:25:20","date_gmt":"2013-11-15T19:25:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hobbyspace.com\/Blog\/?p=5307"},"modified":"2013-11-15T19:25:20","modified_gmt":"2013-11-15T19:25:20","slug":"maven-cleared-for-launch-to-mars-on-monday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hobbyspace.com\/Blog\/?p=5307","title":{"rendered":"MAVEN cleared for launch to Mars on Monday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/mission_pages\/maven\/main\/index.html#.UoZzkHCTjjY\" target=\"_d\">MAVEN<\/a>\u00a0spacecraft heading for Mars has gotten clearance for launch.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><b>MAVEN &#8216;Go&#8217; to Proceed Toward Monday Launch<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div>\n<blockquote><p>A Launch Readiness Review ended this morning with NASA and contractor managers giving MAVEN the &#8220;go&#8221; for launch at 1:28 p.m. EST on Monday, Nov. 18, from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. Today&#8217;s review is the final mission review for MAVEN and its ride into space, the United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket. The Atlas V was also cleared for the rollout to the launch pad Saturday. Teams have not encountered any significant technical issues or concerns for launch.
