Amateur astronomers are\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/remanzacco.blogspot.it\/2013\/10\/outburst-of-comet-c2012-x1-linear.html\">reporting<\/a>\u00a0a 100-fold increase in the comet&#8217;s brightness compared to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/aerith.net\/comet\/catalog\/2012X1\/2012X1.html\">predictions<\/a>, and the comet&#8217;s atmosphere or &#8220;coma&#8221; now resembles that of exploding\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.spaceweather.com\/comets\/gallery_holmes_page7.htm\">Comet 17P\/Holmes<\/a>\u00a0in 2007.
