Back in February I poste about a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/hobbyspace.com\/Blog\/?p=626\" target=\"_d\"> Lockheed-Martin fusion reactor project<\/a>, which is also a fairly near term low cost approach.<\/p>\n<p>Another alternative fusion scheme is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hobbyspace.com\/Links\/sciTech4.html#EMC2\">Polywell<\/a>, invented by the late <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robert_W._Bussard\" target=\"_d\">Robert W. Bussard<\/a>.
