LADEE will later fire its own on-board engine to complete the trip. NASA has been able to contact the spacecraft.<\/p>\n<p>9:57 pm ET: The countdown is going well for the launch of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.orbital.com\" target=\"_d\">Orbital Sciences<\/a> five-stage <a href=\"http:\/\/www.orbital.com\/SpaceLaunch\/Minotaur\/IV\/\" target=\"_blank\">Minotaur V<\/a> rocket from\u00a0Wallops Island <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marsspaceport.com\/\" target=\"_d\">Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS)<\/a> on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. (See <a href=\"http:\/\/hobbyspace.com\/Blog\/?p=4328\" target=\"_blank\">earlier post<\/a>.)\u00a0 Liftoff is expected at 11:27 p.m. EDT.
