Sikorsky Human Powered Helicopter Competition. The competition awards a prize of $250,000.00 pledged by Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. for the first successful controlled flight of a human-powered helicopter:\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aerovelo.com\/2013\/07\/11\/aerovelo-officially-awarded-ahs-sikorsky-prize\/\" target=\"_d\">AeroVelo Officially Awarded AHS Sikorsky Prize! &#8211; AeroVelo<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Great news! The American Helicopter Society has officially declared AeroVelo winner of the Igor I. Sikorsky Human Powered Helicopter Competition.
