Here is a new video from VG about preparations for the flight:<\/p>\n<p>[ <strong>Update<\/strong>: Here is the official confirmation of plans for a another powered SS2 flight: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.virgingalactic.com\/articles\/vss-unity-prepares-for-fifth-supersonicpowered-test-flight\">SpaceShipTwo, VSS Unity, Prepares for Fifth Supersonic Powered Test Flight &#8211; Virgin Galactic<\/a> &#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>With the usual caveats that apply to all test flights, and with the added uncertainties of weather at this time of year in Mojave, the window for our fifth supersonic powered test flight opens on February 20, 2019, and our test flight is planned for the morning of Wednesday, February 20.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Although we passed a major milestone in December, we still have a way to go in testing the many factors that can affect a flight. So, for this flight, we will be expanding the envelope to gather new and vital data essential to future tests and operations, including vehicle center of gravity.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>We are proud to be flying NASA Flight Opportunity program research payloads again. The spaceship will be a little heavier than last time, and very close to a full commercial weight.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>We are now at the stage where we can confirm some of the aspects of the customer cabin and this will be a continuing theme as we enter this final stage of flight test. It is of paramount importance to our future business success that we not only give our future astronauts a safe ride, but an experience which exceeds expectations. We know, as part of a Group that has led the way in commercial aviation customer experience, cabin design is fundamental to that objective and so this element is an integral part of our flight test program.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>]<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6qWm09lqDWU?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>VG is looking for additional capital following the collapse of a partnership with Saudis who were planning to provided a billion or more dollars for Virgin Galactic and Virgin Orbit projects: <a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/branson-hunts-galactic-cash-after-grounding-1bn-saudi-deal-11639205\">Branson hunts Galactic cash after grounding $1bn Saudi deal &#8211; Sky News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>** <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.arianespace.com\/mission\/ariane-flight-vs21\/\">An Arianespace Soyuz rocket is set for launch<\/a> on February 26th<\/strong> of the first 6 satellites of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oneweb.world\/\">OneWeb<\/a> broadband constellation, which will eventually comprise <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oneweb.world\/#technology\">900 satellites<\/a> (the system becomes operational globally with 600).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.satnews.com\/story.php?number=1603746248\">Integration of Six OneWeb Spacecraft Completed by Arianespace for Upcoming Launch &#8211; Satnews<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/18m-for-oneweb-satellite-constellation-to-deliver-global-communications\">\u00a318m for OneWeb satellite constellation to deliver global communications &#8211; GOV.UK<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>** <strong>SEOPS deployed 2 CubeSats<\/strong> from Northrop-Grumman&#8217;s Cygnus cargo vehicle after it <a href=\"http:\/\/hobbyspace.com\/Blog\/?p=17766\">departed from the ISS<\/a> on February 8th. These were the first satellite deployments from the Cygnus for <a href=\"https:\/\/seopsllc.com\/index.html\">SEOPS&#x2122;, LLC.<\/a>, a new company based in Houston. SEOPS joins <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nanoracks.com\">NanoRacks<\/a> as a provider of satellite deployments from the Cygnus and ISS.
