{"id":17030,"date":"2018-11-08T11:16:33","date_gmt":"2018-11-08T16:16:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hobbyspace.com\/Blog\/?p=17030"},"modified":"2018-11-09T09:45:46","modified_gmt":"2018-11-09T14:45:46","slug":"video-gwynne-shotwell-of-spacex-interviewed-by-matt-desch-of-iridium","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hobbyspace.com\/Blog\/?p=17030","title":{"rendered":"Video: Gwynne Shotwell of SpaceX interviewed by Matt Desch of Iridium"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At a <a href=\"https:\/\/youcanfly.aopa.org\/high-school\/symposium\">symposium held this week<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aopa.org\/\">AOPA<\/a> (<em>Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association<\/em>) dealing with the organization&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/youcanfly.aopa.org\/high-school\">high school STEM<\/a> initiatives, there was an on-stage interview with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.SpaceX.com\">SpaceX<\/a> President <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gwynne_Shotwell\">Gwynne Shotwell<\/a> by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.Iridium.com\">Iridium<\/a> CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilsoncenter.org\/person\/matthew-j-desch\">Matt Desch<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>SpaceX President and COO Gwynne Shotwell talks about successes and failures in their rocket program, encouraging girls to pursue technical and scientific careers and &#8220;build big machines. She tells teachers at the AOPA High School Aviation STEM Symposium about the need for kids with training in science, technology, engineering and math.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>[ <strong>Nov.9.2018<\/strong>: For some reason, the interview video unfortunately was taken down from Youtube.
