{"id":16537,"date":"2018-08-09T16:13:34","date_gmt":"2018-08-09T20:13:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hobbyspace.com\/Blog\/?p=16537"},"modified":"2018-08-09T16:22:38","modified_gmt":"2018-08-09T20:22:38","slug":"videos-nasa-parker-solar-probe-set-for-early-morning-launch-from-the-cape-on-aug-11","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hobbyspace.com\/Blog\/?p=16537","title":{"rendered":"Videos: NASA Parker Solar Probe set for early morning launch from the Cape on Aug.11"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/content\/goddard\/parker-solar-probe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NASA&#8217;s Parker Solar Probe<\/a> is ready for its launch early Saturday morning.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/feature\/goddard\/2018\/nasa-s-parker-solar-probe-is-about-to-lift-off\" target=\"_d\">NASA\u2019s Parker Solar Probe is About to Lift Off | NASA<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>At [ 3:33 a.m. EDT\u00a0 (0733 GMT) ] on Aug. 11, while most of the U.S. is asleep, NASA\u2019s Kennedy Space Center in Florida will be abuzz with excitement.\u00a0At that moment, NASA\u2019s Parker Solar Probe, the agency\u2019s historic mission to touch the Sun, will have its first opportunity to lift off.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>Launching from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, Parker Solar Probe will make its journey all the way to the Sun\u2019s atmosphere, or corona \u2014 closer to the Sun than any spacecraft in history.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The spacecraft will ride the massive\u00a0United Launch Alliance <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ulalaunch.com\/rockets\/delta-iv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Delta IV Heavy rocket<\/a>, which is powered by liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ulalaunch.com\/about\/news-detail\/2018\/08\/07\/united-launch-alliance-to-launch-nasa-s-parker-solar-probe\" target=\"_d\">United Launch Alliance to Launch NASA\u2019s Parker Solar Probe &#8211; ULA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=u-iFUj7Jro4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">liftoff of a Delta IV<\/a> is always fun to watch. A sheet of flame will surround the vehicle just at liftoff caused by the burn off of hydrogen gas that&#8217;s emitted from the engines before they ignite.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a new video about the mission:<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center;
