Space Station<\/a> that the crew members\u00a0(many of whom\u00a0 have amateur radio licenses) use to talk with hams on the ground. In addition, quite often there is an\u00a0arrangement made with a school group that allows students to talk with and ask\u00a0questions of the crew via\u00a0the ham radio when the ISS\u00a0is flying over the\u00a0school&#8217;s area.<\/p>\n<p>In this video, NASA astronaut\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sunita_Williams\" target=\"_d\">Sunita Williams<\/a>\u00a0talks about the\u00a0big\u00a0impact that the ISS ham radio contacts with such class room groups had on her.
