However, no one knows if it is possible to live healthfully for long periods of time in gravity that is 16%\u00a0(Moon) or 38% (Mars) of what we experience here\u00a0on the surface of earth.<\/p>\n<p>The following\u00a0video from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ssi.org\/\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/www.ssi.org\">Space Studies Institute<\/a> (SSI)\u00a0shows a talk given by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gary_Hudson_(engineer)\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gary_Hudson_(engineer)\">Gary Hudson<\/a> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.space-access.org\/\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/www.space-access.org\">Space Access Society<\/a>&#8216;s annual <a href=\"http:\/\/space-access.org\/updates\/sa15info.html\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/space-access.org\/updates\/sa15info.html\">meeting last May<\/a>\u00a0in which he discussed\u00a0the need\u00a0to do partial gravity studies in orbit to\u00a0investigate partial gravity questions. He discusses\u00a0SSI&#8217;s proposed\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ssi.org\/ssi-update-april-2012-introduction-to-g-lab\/\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/ssi.org\/ssi-update-april-2012-introduction-to-g-lab\/\">G-Lab<\/a>, a\u00a0facility in earth orbit\u00a0that\u00a0would rotate at different rates so as to generate artificial spin-gravity\u00a0at levels of interest for animal and human studies:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ssi.org\/ssi-g-lab-at-space-access-2015\/\" target=\"_d\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/ssi.org\/ssi-g-lab-at-space-access-2015\/\">SSI G-Lab at Space Access 2015 &#8211; Space Studies Institute<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xO1Pvtv_A4k?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>If Mars gravity isn&#8217;t sufficient to support a long healthy life, that does not mean we cannot\u00a0live in space.
