Grow food, collect energy, mine resources, manufacture bots, and build a fully self-sufficient colony.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"width: 523px; height: 294px;\" src=\"https:\/\/streamable.com\/e\/yej3\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This review is quite positive:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/steamed.kotaku.com\/steams-latest-hit-is-a-tough-as-nails-mars-base-buildin-1737025567\" target=\"_d\">Steam&#8217;s Latest Hit Is A Tough-As-Nails Mars Base Building Game &#8211; io9<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\" data-textannotation-id=\"fe34879c01f34aa4ae083c5c772a613e\"><em>The enduring message of Planetbase\u2014at least, after a couple hours\u2014seems to be, \u201cDon\u2019t get cocky.\u201d It\u2019s been immensely satisfying building up my base so far, but I know it can be so much more. Apparently I can go from a handful of people to hundreds, to a base that very literally spans the planet. And yet, rocks fall from the sky as though hurled vengeful space deities saying, \u201cDon\u2019t. You. Dare.\u201d But I will dare, even though Planetbase\u2019s Steam page warns me of sandstorms, intruders, and solar flares, and beta players mention \u201chundreds of ways to die.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\" data-textannotation-id=\"cc8a6834fbfa1f653e876b8b34e46c5d\"><em>I\u2019m about to build a landing pad, which will usher in my base\u2019s next era. Fearing certain death, I might have over-prepared for my next handful of colonists, but who knows? The planet is a big place. I haven\u2019t even had to sound an emergency alarm yet.
