A new trailer has been released for the movie, The Martian, which will be in theaters starting October 2nd:

I was at the NS2015 banquet, and Weir was a very friendly and unassuming fellow. He seemed both happy and overwhelmed at how his work had “taken off,” he’d been grinding away at his writing ambitions on the side, and then, “boom!”
My step-daughter gave me Weir’s book for Christmas last year (yeah, she’s great at picking presents for me) and I loved it! If the movie has only 25% of the book, AND it’s delivered by Matt Damon, I’m all in.
