Richard Branson talks a bit about Virgin Galactic at around 9 minutes or so into this 30 minute interview at the TED conference last March: Richard Branson: Life at 30,000 feet/

Comments

Branson says SS2 will fly end of 08 and passengers will fly by end of 09.

This interview was from March 07. So he was expecting test flights to start roughly in March of 2008 and passenger flights in March 2009. With the accident delay, I would now expect those dates to shift later by 6 months to a year.
