An update on hypersonics R&D at the University of Queensland, particularly with respect to materials needed to deal with the heating that occurs when pushing through the atmosphere at high Mach speeds: New materials designed to deal with hypersonic and supersonic hot stuff (w/ Video) - PhysOrg.com/Univ. of Queensland.

Dick Stafford posts a long list of sites with rocket and aircraft vehicle data useful to modelers: Aerospace Modeling Links - The Original Rocket Dungeon

"Aussie hypersonic's" Seems the Aussie's are still in pursuit of the sugar scoop spillage Busemann inlet R@D. It appears the US gave it up with the redesign of Blackswift to conventual 2D configuration. Queensland vehicle appears to be dual SCRAM over/under inlet application. They maybe the ones to take hypersonic propulsion to actual commercial point-to-point use for they have high transport speed need more than US or UK.

Also great modeler links…thanks!
