Briefs: Waiting for Augustine; Pointless Ares I-X; Program of Myth

Bolden waits for the Augustine panel to lay out the options: NASA review panel options an unknown to space agency administrator - Huntsville Times.
===
According to this report, though, he seems sure the "Program of Record" won't be one of them and so NASA may not bother launching Ares I-X: Bombshell - RocketsAndSuch. [Aug.21.09: Have not yet seen anyone else confirm Bolden's statements as given in this report.]

The Program of Record may someday mistakenly become the Program of Myth and Legend: The Coming Mythology - Transterrestrial Musings.

Comments

So far no one has been able to corroborate RAS's report of what Bolden said.

If RaS is correct, wouldn't we have seen lots of rumours all over the blogosphere by now?

Chris Bergin’s take on this on NSF.com:

If you want rumors, the rumor is Bolden didn’t even mention anything to do with any vehicle or even Human Space Flight at all at the meeting, per one person I know who was there, but what’s the point without a video or a recording?

NASA Watch mentions the same rumour about Ares 1-X but it's not clear if his source RaS or someone else.

Cowling on NASA Watch says his source was not R&S.
