I don’t think it is a proper name to call small icy moon a “Vulcan”. This word has been used many time to name hypothetical planet located withit the orbit of Mercury. Some estimates shown that there are small chance of finding new body in the close vicinity of Sun. Therefore, for the Pluto’s tiny moon would to be choosen thomething different.
I also would prefer they save “Vulcan” for an exoplanet rather than a small Pluto moon. Reminds me of the campaign to name the first Shuttle prototype the Enterprise. It never was meant to go to space. It’s quite likely that one of the operational Shuttles would have been named Enterprise if Star Trek fans had waited.
